The answer is that, in Canada anyway, foreign students pay substantially more for tuition than Canadians do. That excess, derived from overseas wealth, subsidizes Canadian students. If they do get permission to work here, so long as we continue to encourage immigration, they are the kind of immigrant that we want. Money aside, if Canadians can't keep up with foreign students then it is the Canadians' fault.

Everywhere I go there are traffic jams, even on weekends (I work in a major city during the week and live at my beach house on weekends year round). If things were so bad, I would think people would at least cut back on going to the beach in the off season, but tomorrow there will be a traffic jam when I leave work at 2PM. And all the cars seem to be huge, not to mention all the RVs and boats being towed behind them.

Because if they admit things aren't good, they have to admit they have basically been wrong about everything for the last 8 years.

Then what? Vote for Hillary? Some people can't do that so they engage in doublethink and delude themselves.
