It's easier to sell insurance than real estate - but only just barely. Commissions are a lot smaller, too, so you've got to sell MORE policies, than you do houses. 95% of people who try to sell insurance, wash out. They can't make enough to cover their licensing fees, after six months. Plus, the ones that do make it, it's HARD WORK. You'll put in 60 - 80 workweeks to drag home $50K the first few years. It gets easier after that.

As far as the test, here's a site with some free sample questions: http://www.insurance-schools.com/free_in… You type your state in, and get state specific questions. But you might also want to go down and talk to your local agent, and see if they have any old study materials you can look at.
