Trust me when I tell you this. The insurance will be ALOT higher then for a regular car like camry or accords. First off, you're 17, no insurance company cares what your grades are, your a guy and you're VERY young. This is a sports coupe, plus it's Lexus, that alone will raise the insurance on any car. Definitely great pick with the car, but the insurance on it is a pretty penny.

Insurance isn't priced based on what you can afford, it's priced on the risk.

For someone who's 26, a low deductible plan is going to cost around $300 a month. That $56 a month you're quoting is insanely low - so low, I'd bet it's a scam.

Medicaid answer first - Medicaid is based off your household income. If you still live at home while going to school, then yes, the entire family's income would be included...

Insurance - this depends on what you're wanting the policy to do for you. Aetna and BCBS are both comparible companies with great products! Not knowing all the details would be hard to advise which way to go. I would check with BCBS and see what the same plan would be with a copay. The higher deductible policies are generally for a "catastrophic" type risk. (Extreme sickness, hospitilization, ect.) The lower the deductible, the higher the premium. I personally as an agent have BCBS... Sorry if that doesn't help a ton, but I don't know all the facts!
