Since it is your first car and your a new driver, stick with the used car. Since it is a 2006, it has all the safety features and such but won't cost as much money as it would for a brand new car if it gets totalled. As long as its not the SI model, your insurances will be high but won't be as bad as a brand new car. The more safety feature the more better rates you get. Also consider taking a driving course for discount and maintain a good GPA for a better rate.
