Esurance has low rates, but lots of complaints of not representing their clients well in the case of a claim.

Find an independent agent, not attached to any particular big box company, and give him your needs and information. Let him search his data base and find the best for you in your circumstances. The side benefit is you will have a person to talk to in case of a claim, not just an 800 number or a web page.

Public insurance companys' products cater to the masses whereas private insurance company's products more towards individual sceme such as life and motor insurances. For examples the NY twin tower most likely be insured under the public company because they've the resources and financial capabilities whereas your house on the other hand is most likely under a private insurer.

Obama's health care reform: Not nearly strong enough. Should be single payer, Medicare for all.

None that I'm aware of, and some actually look back 7 years. Minor faults will not affect rates after 3 years, Duo's after 5, and more serious things after 7.
