Troy Said:

what's with the health bill?

We Answered:

There's Still Time To Act. What Are You Waiting For?

Don't believe Barack Obama and Nancy Pelosi when you hear them saying they've got the votes to pass their monstrosity of a health care reform bill.

So call them. Call ALL of them on the target list below.

Call their district offices first, then call their Capitol Hill offices.

Be polite, but be firm. Ask them to please vote to kill the bill.

Send them back to the drawing board, to put together health care reform we can ALL support.

Because there's NO interest more special than YOURS.

Maria Said:

Which Party is more supportive to Middle Class America?

We Answered:

Neither because the system we have in the United States caters to special interest groups, lobbyists and big business. It is a system rife with graft, corruption, bribery, reckless spending, outrageous accounting practices, an abbysmal example of decades of poor management. We are a country in denial an out of control capitalistic machine.

Derek Said:

Plz help me with the question. It needs to be performed in excel.?

We Answered:

sorry, i am confused!!

Sean Said:

haven't gotten a straight answer yet...?

We Answered:

The big deal is we are not getting your type of Health-care or your cost. What they are purposing is one with little choice, less care. More HMO type. If your not familiar with that-you will find out all the problems with it on the web. Many are rejected for certain tests, certain meds, second opinions, it has cost many lives. I truly hope you and others will check it out.

I think many want health-care here. The right kind. This is a B. J. to the insurance companies more--something they always wanted. More money for them less service for us.

I can understand the confusion as there is so much ranting at all sides. And so many ill-informed who act like they are informed.

No, most people are not against social care. Most Americans want to see care for all without all the corruption that will hurt many others who are ill to supposedly help a few. and yes if you look at HMO you will see how many are hurt by it and even die for refusal of tests and meds.

First of all, our government has moved very far away from what it was intended to be. Our federal government was originally given only certain powers, and all other powers were then given to the states. That is not at all the case today, where we see the federal government taking on more powers everyday

The health care bill, not only increase the size of the government but also as well the people’s dependency on it, and unlike yours limits were not put on the insurers. For instance, Now no hospital can turn you down in an emergency (and yes that is costly--many don't pay) but if you have a quack you can go to another hospital. And we have many of them too. On the new plans they will be able to turn you down for that. That is just one of many things. And they are also adding to our huge federal deficit, the ever-large elephant in the room. Do not get me wrong, we need some social programs to care for the disabled, and for the people who cannot take care of themselves, but we also need to take the huge corruption out of this bill.

Is that selfish of us--no, selfish of them. And not honest of them in saying it's more for insurance's companies but saying it's for the people

Straight enough answer for you?

BTW--I hope no one you know or I know gets hurt or killed like many do on HMO plans often -because of stupid rants on both sides who don't know squat but want to look like they are some kind of net caring person .

Minnie Said:

Plzzz Help me with this assingment?

We Answered:

I cannot believe this is actually taught and catered in school! I've been through education up to middle school, and everything I know I had to learn the hard way. Don't be lazy. You'll only help yourself with doing your assignment on your own. Just figure out how much each of these four plans would cost for a person if they incurred the dollar amount each assignment gives you. It would be the premium plus the out of pocket expense up to the amount that is lower than the plan's deductible. (for plans with a 80/20 or 90/10 you also need to take the amount of expenses less the deductible, and figure out what the dollar amount the smaller percentage is). Once you have the total premium, out of pocket expense amount up to that plan's deductible plus the dollar amount of coinsurance, you compare all four and the one with the lowest figure is the plan you want to go with.

It'll simplify as you begin working on it.

How would redefine "Middle Class America"?

We Answered:

Why should the ruling class give a f*ck? They are all in on it together- have you ever met a "poor" or "middle class" or even a "working class" politician? Do you truly believe that they serve "we, the people"? If the politicians that we CONSTANTLY reelect year after year gave a shiite- changes would happen. Period. But as long as there are special interest groups and lobbyist paying out 100's of MILLIONS of dollars to sway politicians their way, we will continue to suffer as a nation. We are being "raped and pillaged" from our own people. Check the internet and see how many new billionaires are added each year in the U.S.!

Reginald Said:

How could the wealthiest nation in the world have the highest poverty rate of all industrialised countries?

We Answered:

Your statistics are mildly interesting. However, they would be more meaningful if they were a comparison of of the same categories of say, 40 years ago, a measure of CHANGE and the progress being made.. For instance, you use the word "poverty" repeatedly. Over the last 40 years, the definition of "poverty" has been re-defined (upwardly) at least 3 times. 40 years ago people in "poverty" did not have (approximately) : color TV sets, separate living quarters, subsidized medicines, subsidized health care, free emergency health care, free food stamps, free dental care, subsidized transportation, Free, for children: sports, sports equipment, student lunch programs, Xmas toys, donated clothing, etc. No, Dr. Pangloss, we do not live in the most perfect of all perfect worlds (nation)
As a youth in the 1930s I observed many people I knew, repeatedly buying dog food (4 cents per 10 oz. can) - and they DIDN'T own pets. Guess who the food was for?
The "American Dream", does it still exist? You betcha. At least thousands and thousands (millions?) of non-Americans think so. Every day the news stories indicate that they are somehow (legally and illegally) gaining entrance into our country to find it. To realize it. To live it
A relatively unmeasurable fact is American (upward) mobility, the "rags (poverty) to riches" experiences that that many of us have either observed or experienced.
P.S. I am a first generation (born) American. My great-great grandfather was a slave.
