How is Manpower's health insurance plan for temporary or contractor employees? We Answered:
It is extremely expensive, and the coverage is poor - look into Blue Cross, its better and cheaper, it's paid monthly by mail or on line. Manpower I would never work for again. Where I am located now there are many Manpower employees and all I hear is that the benifits are aweful and you pay most of the bill. Good LuckAdrian Said:
What are some Good Health Insurance in North Carolina? We Answered:
Some other legitimate insurance companies that are options for someone in NC are:Aetna
Celtic Ins. Co.
CIGNA
Coventry
Humana
UnitedHealthOne
Not all of these are necessarily options for you, or less expensive than BCBS. Whether you qualify, and how much they cost, may depend on your age, your husband's age, where in NC you live, whether you are students, your health, his health, etc.

I'am a student, I need help choosing health insurance plans...?We Answered:
The best way to compare plans is with your past experience levels. For example, if you are relatively healthy and only see the Dr. a couple times a year for med checks, then a low monthly premium plan with a high deductible and office co-pays make sense. If Rx is a huge cost, then calculate the plans based on how much you spend in premiums vs. out of pocket at the pharmacy. It may be more to your advantage to pay more in monthly premiums to have better Rx coverage. Also, Preferred Provider Organizations (PPO's) tend to cost more monthly and with higher out of pocket expenses then a Health Maintenance Organization (HMO) which is more restrictive, but generally costs less and has lower out of pocket costs.School plans are generally OK, but usually have limitations or "caps" on what they will spend. For example, the Rx benefit could be limited to $1,000 per year and then you pay the rest. Be careful of the limitations and exclusions, especially in regards to which provider, hospital or pharmacy you can use.
If you are on an individual plan with BCBS, talk to them about other plan options such as an HMO, High deductible health plan, etc. based on the coverage you feel you need for the year. Aetna and United are other well known national carriers with good rates and you may have other options in the state you live like Cigna or Kaiser.
Sometimes it helps to go to an insurance broker to go over coverage, premiums, etc. and sometimes you may get a discount, (on auto insurance for example), for combining multiple coverage with their office, (auto, life, home, etc.).
I've included the link below for the Dept. of Health and Human Services and HIPAA which regulates your privacy, pre-existing conditions and other useful information not related to insurance rates.
Good Luck, hope that helped.

Is medicare considered good health insurance? We Answered:
Medicare is insurance that you have been paying for all of your working life. In some instances, it pays better than 80/20, and in others it pays less than 80/20. It does not, however come without costs and gaps. If you are enrolled in Medicare Parts A and B, it will cost you approx $93 per month in premium. This premium is taken directly out of your social security check - if you are drawing social security.I would not recommend going with Medicare alone. The gaps in coverage can be easily and completely covered if you wish to do so. There are several plan designs to choose from, including managed care plans that can be at no cost to you. The Standard Plan designs A-J have a varying cost, depending on which plan you choose and which insurance company you elect for coverage.
The typical cost for this coverage, in the individual market in CT, is around $160 per month per insured.
The new Medicare Part D is also something that you will need, as Medicare does not cover prescriptions, generally. These plans can be purchased in the range of $23 to $65 per month.
Find a Health Insurance broker who specializes in senior/Medicare plans, or contact AARP.
Holly Said:
Does it seem logical that health insurance plans require special wording and documentation or they will not paWe Answered:
Health insurance plans don't require special coding for claim payment. However the federal government does. Each year the Federal government releases all the changes to medical coding. The AMA even prints out this changes each year. The providers should keep up with these changes. Doctors are trained how to fill out claims, but generally it is easier to hire a coding specialist to bill properly. So the insurance companies have not other choice but to follow the federal guidelines just like the doctors. The doctors also can call prior to service to verify the patient benefits to help determine what services would be most beneficial to the patient and covered under their plan. However the provider should provide services needed for the patients condition. Patients are so brain washed by providers that the health insurance companies are the problem, however, I routinely see that providers bill incorrectly and point the finger at the insurance company. They intimidate the patient into believing they have to take action into resolving the issue, when it should be the doctors office doing the leg work. But that leg work cost the doctors money, so why not get the patient to do it. A majority of provider offices are poorly run. Staff are usually under qualified and under managed. A doctors office is a business where the head of the business is solely dedicated to treating patients while the billing and payment part if it is run usually, by employees picked up off the street and then trained while on the job. Many do not come into the job with previous experience or schooling. Most typical insurance plans are created by the employer groups, yet people still want to blame the insurance companies, when they only provide an administration service.
