the amounts in the guides are based on 'reported' prices. That means I can say I sold it for $5000 so the next person who looks it up thinks they can't get it for $1000
anything is worth what someone is willing to pay, and no more. look on oodle and craigslist and in the local classified to see what the prices are in your area.

But really, it sounds about right. You are under 25, your a female, and its your first insurance. If you are a student and do good in school, you can get an additional discount. Also, all insurance comes with UM/UIM benefits, that's liability coverage. If you are looking for collision, that coverage is if you get into an accident and are at fault, you are covered. Collision is definitely more expensive than that. You are saying full coverage for that price from State Farm, I would take it.

Statistically speaking, young men cause far more accidents than young women.
It really rips off the young guys who drive well, though, which I why I think a case-by-case insurance policy would be better.

Comparing quotes is only necessary if you want to optimize your money vs value.
If you don't care paying $3k yearly for some cover that might cost you to some $775 somewhere else then just buy from the first one that comes along, as in all things.
