Martin Said:

Just about to move out my parents house.. What do I need? Which insurance companies give the CHEAPEST?

We Answered:

you should go to http://vilasta.com/?insurance . You just have to input some information and they do the researching for you in your area basically. i found it easier than going to each insurance company and getting a quote, its all in one place.

Gina Said:

Which company offers the cheapest homeowners insurance for a house that I'm renting out in MIchigan?

We Answered:

Run it through one of the insurance websites, like insureweb.com. Nobody can answer your question for sure without knowing all of the details, which you will have to enter on a website like this.

Ella Said:

Which insurance company is the cheapest when insuring an unoccupied house?

We Answered:

It's never a good idea to leave a house unoccupied. No insurance company will insure that for an indefinite period. You would save yourself alot of money and worry if you put someone in there at least for a while. If you have no choice, make sure it looks occupied. Music, television, lights going on at different times in different rooms. Any insurance you do get would exclude vandalism. So, some kids break in and camp out. Anything they do would be VANDALISM. If the place catches on fire because of someone's acts, it's vandalism for example. Don't do it. Even the nicest neighborhood has teenagers or homeless people who may have more time than things to do. (Don't write me about teenagers being great. I know they are.)

Help, I need to help my mom get a good cheap house insurance policy in North Dakota.?

We Answered:

Sure, there are lots. But if you're posting on a public board, there are CLEARLY some issues preventing her from getting coverage. Possible claims issues in the past? Maybe pit bull dogs?? maybe it's a really low value house? Maybe it's in bad disrepair? Maybe she's got horrible credit??

No one can give you an accurate carrier without knowing what the problem is, that she can't just walk into an independent agent and have her pick of 5 or 6 different companies.

Ivan Said:

I demolished my old house and had a new house built, should the homeowners insurance be cheaper on new house?

We Answered:

Technically, if it's on the same foundation, the old policy should apply, but check with your agent to be sure.

The new house will likely be CHEAPER to insure than the old one was, though, because everything is brand new - so you're probably better off getting a new policy - IF you can find a carrier willing to write one.
