Car Insurance Quotes Australia

Gregory Said:

Had a car accident the same day i bought my car, is there anything I can to get it covered by insurance?

We Answered:

Here in the US, if you already have insurance on at least one other vehicle and you go out and purchase a new or used car, you normally have 24, 48, or even 72 hours to report the purchase and secure coverage on your new car. That's why the dealer will ask you for your insurance card of the car you drove in with. I've bought and left with brand new cars without calling my agent. Mainly because they were closed of course. Unfortunately, if you don't already have coverage (no other vehicle insurance), you would be screwed. That's here in the US. I don't know what it is there but wouldn't think it much different. If you have coverage, call you insurance agent and explain. You may be covered. Good luck.

Diana Said:

small car accident?

We Answered:

This accident happened 2 weeks ago? It is, and I mean it is, impossible for an insurance company to process a claim that quickly. By the time the customer gets the vehicle into the shop, the estimate is done, parts are ordered, repair (including painting) is done, invoicing to the insurance company is sent, the insurance company verifies the billing, processes it through their accounts receive ables, pays the shop and then sends the bill to you far exceeds 2 weeks. So what else are you going to exaggerate about?

Mae Said:

Will my car be covered by the person/company that hit it?

We Answered:

I'm in california and when I was rear ended by a truck, the guy's insurance took care of me. I did have insurance but my insurance company never even intervened. Since it was his fault, I didn't have to ask my insurance to do anything. Honestly, if I didn't have insurance, his company would have never known. They never asked for it because he was at fault. So for me, being uninsured would not have been a problem. However, laws pertaining to traffic violations, collisions, and insurance may vary in different states and countries.

That's my experience with getting hit. What I did do is I contacted his insurance company immediately after the accident and filed a claim because I was afraid this guy might take his time so maybe you can look into doing that.

Leslie Said:

My car got hit (not at fault) but I'm not insured. What happens in Australia(Vic)?

We Answered:

take it to a smash repair shop of your choice along with her details and her insurance company should come and assess the damage along with the smash repairers and negotiate a price between them before they fix it.
