Car Insurance Quotation

Alberto Said:

Rental car theft. The car was recovered one day after. Should the rental car call me to their place ?

We Answered:

When you rent a vehicle, you sign a contract that gives you certain rights and responsibilities. Yo agree to bring the car back at or before a certain time, in the same basic condition as you rented it (no additional damage). Many rental car companies offer damage wavers at an additional charge. If you chose not to pay that, you are agreeing to take full responsibility for any and all costs. You most likely can be held liable for "loss of use" also, which means that while the car is being repaired, you have to pay rent on it, because they are not able to rent it to someone else!

You may have coverage under a credit card, or under your personal car insurance policy, but this does not mean that the car rental company must deal with either of them. You should pay the repairs, and file claims for reimbursement with any other coverage you have.

Pay the bill. They will sue you and you will lose. You will then have to pay the legal expenses too.

Yolanda Said:

Is it legal that my insurance company want to this becauso of change of address?? urgent?

We Answered:

please dont panic! are you in the same postcode area? (by that I mean for example moving from w5 1ab to w5 1bb, the last two letters are irrelevant but the rest is the same rating area)

Ok if they wont accept the change you want to make then they Have to cancel it and give you a pro rata refund less any admin they normally charge for a change or cancellation(usually around £25 dependant on company)

It sounds like the person you spoke to was an idiot and didnt know what they were talking about!!. If they wont just change your address, then make a complaint and speak to a manager if necessary. It sounds like someone was just trying to improve their sales figures.

if you still get no joy from making a complaint then threaten them with the financial ombudsman service (which you can do if they dont resolve your complaint). Try to stay calm when talking to them and make sure u speak to a manager, usually this and the threat of complaining is enough for them to sort things out!

Shane Said:

Insurance got canceled due to non disclosure of claims advice needed please?

We Answered:

Step one is to find a local independent agent and lay it out for him so this can be resolved. But be prepared to have a high rate for the first part of coverage.

You say "Now there decision is making a huge trouble for me to get insured with other company."

Wrong. The huge trouble was caused by you putting zero down for claims when you actually had claims, and defrauding the insurance company. It is not the insurance company's fault that you got confused between claims and convictions.

But as I said, speak with an independent agent and get it sorted, since you can't drive without insurance.

Jim Said:

Girl bumped my car and hasn't paid?

We Answered:

I hope you got a police report. If you did take her to small claims court. if not you could try, but it may not work out that well.

Dolores Said:

car got hit, no insurance, dodgy guy, dodgy company, please help!!!!!?

We Answered:

Without insurance to work on your behalf, there is little you can do. It's obvious that the guy never told his boss about the incident and now it is a "he said, I said" situation. you have little luck of being made whole unless you can come up with a witness.

In an accident, no matter how seemingly minor, Always call the cops.....oh............ and always have insurance ...............Always !

Danielle Said:

Shall I pay for my Honesty ?While parking my car,It touched with parked car,no dent, no abrasion, inform?

We Answered:

You shouldn't have bothered to inform him if there was no mark on his car. He now sees you as a soft touch and is trying to get money out of you. Don't give it to him! Maybe he is trying to mend something on his car that you weren't even responsible for, so be careful!

You could go to the Citizens Advice Bureau and ask for their advice; that is a free service, otherwise you could speak to your insurance company, but be careful if you decide to do this, because they may treat it as if you are reporting an accident and your premium could go up because of it! If he causes any more problems for you, you may even go to the police to see what they have to say, but I would try Citizens Advice first of all.

Melinda Said:

my car was hit on the back bumper which have some old damage on it?

We Answered:

Good job admitting to the old damage - seriously! Adjusters find this stuff out and had you done this without telling them, you're bordering on Insurance Fraud there. Happens all the time, yes, but it's a felony you don't want to play with.

You do have some rights here though. Demand that the insurance company present you with some proof that the massive damage -wasn't- done by this new accident. If they can't tell you that it's not, threaten them with a lawyer. Most companies will do anything to avoid a costly lawsuit. If that doesn't work, then go get one.

As for the tow, yes, they are obligated to pay that expense. Send them the receipt and tell them that they need to pay it.

Discuss It!
