Someone hits my parked car and leaves the scene, does that fall under collision or comprehensive deductible? We Answered:
This would be a collision claim.Comprehensive covers animal losses(like hitting a deer), vandalisms, nature, acts of god, etc. Basically anything other than another vheicle hitting your vehicle.

confused about car insurance...stacked, unstacked??We Answered:
If you select "stacking" and there are two or more vehicles in your household, you can potentially collect from both policies, yours and the other household member. I believe that PA allows both inter and intra policy stacking. For example, you are seriously injured in a car accident and the value of your case exceeds $200,000. However, the driver who caused the accident is uninsured.
You have two cars covered on your own car insurance policy. You have chosen to carry Uninsured Motorist coverage of $100,000 per person for each car, and you have elected to stack your coverage. You now have $200,000 of Uninsured Motorist coverage available to you. A houshold member also has $100,000 in coverage, now you have $300,000 available to you.
However, if you do not elect to stack your Uninsured Motorist coverage, the most you can recover is your policy limit of $100,000.
I suggest you consider Underinsured Motorist coverage with the same stacking option.
Consider going to a local agent. An agent will be able to explain your options in better detail.

how can i get car insurance quotes without giving out my driver license number or vin? i want instant quotes? We Answered:
Answer from A General Insurance AgentNot all Companies require your license number for an insurance quote. Most will require it because they want to give you an accurate quote.
I give quotes everyday without a License number or a vin#. You just have to realize that the less information you give them. Then the less accurate your quote will be.
Also bear in mind that some Insurance Company's Quote Software simply will not generate a quote without having first entered your driver license number, basically meaning that if you are not willing to give the license number, then that company is declining to offer you a quote.
So the Idea that you “Must” give a License Number is erroneous and not entirely accurate, Most companies train their employees on what data to collect, as a result the agents or service reps of these companies, knowing no better, may actually believe that it is required by all companies or that there is some legal requirement, when that is not the case. Many companies will decline to quote you without it using the rational that if you refuse to give them your drivers license number then your probably not really serious about getting insurance with them anyway and therefore wasting there time, or even worse, that you may be trying to target them for a fraudulent claim.
So in Summary,, Although there is no legal requirement that you disclose your License number just for a quote, many insurers have an internal company policy of no “License Number, No Quote” It is advisable to give your number for the most accurate quote.
Remember the Auto Insurance you Buy is not for "The Vehicle", The Insurance is for "You the Driver" of that Vehicle. I noted that your question seems to focus on the vehicles for the price quote, Actually, Your Driving record associated with your Drivers license is just as important and often far more important than the vehicle type you are trying to insure.
Insurance is for the "Driver", not for the "Cars".
Since you already have a vehicle now, and presumably it is insured, Why not just call your current insurer, they are most likely to give you a quote since they already have your drivers license number and therefore will not have to request if from you again.
