Its best just to be honest on the quotes, i lied once on a quote and it came out more expensive.

I just got my first car, a 2003 1.2 Fiat punto insured for £1600. Bite the bullet and just go for it, get your no claims bonuses etc.

The only way she could have got a £600 insurance deal was if she put her mum as the main driver and her as the second driver, and probably lied out of her skin,

Having someone else as the main driver on a car that is owned by yourself is totally illegal.

And, look at Fiat Seicentos, got a quote for £1200, nice little cars.
