The websites on the TV are great and if you were to choose one of them I would go with Go Compare but the only problem is they pay heavily for TV advertising and online marketing.

I always use one of the smaller comparison sites because its they can be a lot more flexible with the quote, aka you can haggle lol.

I usually shop around but last year I used www.comparecom.co.uk they are a small-ish company and I actually got chatting to the owner and he further reduced my quote by £150.00 just by adjusting my job description (perfectly legal). I would recommend trying them first and them if your aren't happy with the quote try Go Compare.

I've found that there are a ton of websites that claim to do this but they really don't. One service called eSurnace.com claims to have the lowest rates but every single plan that they were pitching cost much more than if you just bought it from the company directly.

A much better way of going about this is checking with ratings sites such as Standard and Poors and AM Best. Then pick a company with an A rating or higher. Remember that services are usually cheap for a reason. Focus on value instead.
