Auto Insurance Provider

Hazel Said:

Who is the best auto insurance provider?

We Answered:

Just get a quote from insurers you get from yellow pages,. the internet, the TV, the radio.
Simply don't go for the first price they quote you but spend a few days collecting data.

Mark Said:

Does anyone know of an auto insurance provider that does not require a credit check in Vancouver, WA?

We Answered:

Leader Infinity will waive the credit check if you want, but then they'll give you the most expensive rates, so it's not like you'll get the same rate with a score of 550, as someone with an 800. You won't. Even if you had an 800 score, if you ask them to waive the credit check, you get the same rates as someone with a 475.

Credit scoring isn't at ALL about your driving ability. It's all about the numbers.

Credit scores are shown to be a more accurate predictor of future claims, both in the number of claims filed, and the dollars paid out, than even your past driving record, so because of that, every insurance company outside of California can and does use credit scoring.

The ones that didn't, initially, had MUCH worse claims results, because they were getting the drivers with the lower scores, who had more and larger claims, without charging the additional premium for the risks.

Tommy Said:

What do you need to do in order to work in an auto insurance provider?

We Answered:

Agents need to be licensed in the state in which they sell insurance. The have to pass a test to gain a license. Beyond that, insurance agents come from all walks of life; some with advanced educations and some not. Also, many agents take insurance industry courses to get certified as a CLU (certified life underwriter), CPCU (certified property and casualty underwriter) just to name a couple. You could be looking at his state license, a copy of some degree or the professional certifications he earned.

Tammy Said:

Does anyone know where I can get a 1 month contract with an auto insurance provider?

We Answered:

You can't. Each state sets the minimum contract time, and the minimum contract time in ANY state is six months.

The good news is, if you cancel the insurance before the six months is up, you can get a partial refund of the insurance.

Dennis Said:

Is it a good or bad idea to change my auto insurance provider to save $7?

We Answered:

It depends on who you are insured by now and where you are going. Insurance companies frown upon people who consistently change their carriers and give more benefits to people who stay with them longer. $7 is very little money to be messing wtih consistent coverage.

Who are you going to and from? If you are going to go to a National Chain like State Farm, I would say it's a smart decision. If you are going to a local insurance agency, you are giving up better customer service, more resources for your claims, and the ability to take your insurance with you should you move to another area.

Make a smart decision, but if you are changing companies just to save a penny a day, I think you need to reevaluate.

Bryan Said:

Is uhaul's auto insurance provider responsible for providing or reimbursing me for a rental vehicle ?

We Answered:

If the customer took U-Haul's insurance then yes however if the customer declined the U-Haul insurance [liability] then you are going to have a tough time. You first would have to contact the customers insurance company and see if they cover the truck rental. A lot of insurance companies don't cover rental trucks because they are licensed over 10,000 pounds.

I hope you got a police report and a copy of the video from the storage facility.
