Auto Insurance Comparisons

Hilda Said:

What type of commission can I expect as an independent for auto insurance?

We Answered:

What's "indi" auto? Indiana, or India? Commissions are about 10% for auto, regardless. The good news is, continuing commissions are ALSO 10%, so in the LONG run, it's easier to build a business with P&C because your book will keep producing good commissions.

The bad news is, it's really hard to get an appointment with the multi-line carriers, unless you have a decent book of 100K to transfer over to them, that's profitable.

You might want to also consider Infinity Insurance, and nonstandard homeowners, Foremost Insurance, as they're both pretty easy to get appointed with, and they don't have book minimums.

has anyone used comparisons.org for auto insurance?

We Answered:

Regardless of who you decide to use, amounts will vary depending on what kind of coverage will you have. Just Liability?Collision?Theft?Vandalism? there isn't a "set price" or a "standard price" that suits everyone, You should get quotes from as many companies as possible. It's all up to you. Just make sure you compare the same coverage across different companies.

Leah Said:

Is auto insurance renewal the same as cancelling?

We Answered:

Renew means to continue the policy for another term (which with most companies is 6 months) which will mean you'll need to pay for the policy and continue to drive legally. To cancel means the policy will terminate, you will not have to pay anything, and you will no longer have insurance and cannot legally drive the car.

We Answered:

I do, but the dems don't... They think it's actually constitutional to order me to buy something that effects only me...
