Texas Commercial Insurance

Nicholas Said:

What is the name of the car insurance that covers the car no matter who is driving it?

We Answered:

Not all of them... some policies allow for the reduction in liability limits (down to the minimum required by law) if someone is driving your vehicle and not listed on the policy, period. The states that allow this usually hold the _driver_ responsible, not the owner.

As mentioned, most policies will cover any driver, as long as they should not be listed on the policy, but not all will.

I just read that GEICO offered a rider to insure anyone driving your vehicle.

So while many policies will automatically provide this coverage, it's not all polices. Also, some carries appear to offer riders to include this coverage.

how have insurance premiums been in texas in 2009?

We Answered:

Any particular line of business? Property rates have jumped up, including commercial property and homeowners, due to Ike and Rita.

Auto rates have been pretty steady.

Does any one know a Website to learn about Commercial Insurace for free in Texas???

We Answered:

Well, you're not going to get free, detailed, current information.

No one has it on a website, because of the potential liability of giving "wrong" or "outdated" information.

And for Commercial lines, Texas isn't that far outside the rest of the US, so most of the principals and coverage still apply.

It doesn't exist, but you can start reading the Texas Workers Comp website.

If it makes you feel better, commercial insurance is so broad, and can be very complicated, and takes YEARS to learn. The BEST way to do it, is get your hands on policy forms, and just READ them and figure out what they're saying.

and....unfortunately, no one can answer this question for you. i'm not an insurance person at all, but common sense tells me that without knowing very specific details about your commercial property and the things in it, there is NO way of giving a quote..

call someone up and ask....... call and shop like you do for car insurance. you see the names on tv all the time. take note.

i know it takes time, but, it's necessary..
