You could not get permanent residence (ILR - Indefinite Leave to Remain) straightaway. It sounds like you need to apply under the Points-Based System for a visa (what used to be a Work Permit). there are various categories, where you can either be sponsored by an employer or, if you score enough points, you can come without having a job to go to. At the end of the visa, you may then be able to apply for ILR, and after that British Citizen.

do you know what really bothers me? on a cruise ship, it is expected for you to dole out tips after you have paid alot of $ for the cruise, to the people who take care of your cabin. when i go to a motel, i don't tip the cleaning people, it just has to stop somewhere, when i get drinks, i tip. i consider myself fair, i tip everyone 20%, and when i get my hair, nails, and such done with 4 kids, i always tip 40%.

I cannot imagine any service you provide as being "over the top nice"and if the service is "unpleasant" then the "subtraction" should be a big fat" Zero". If a server anywhere told me to F*ck off i surely would have other options, like reporting them to the proprietors! And, you did not have to say you hated your job, it was abundantly apparent to not only me but many of the answerer's of your question. What you wrote was offensive and if anyone needs to be "educated" its you on how to interact with people. Its abundantly clear that you have a problem with your job as a "server" so it is a good thing for you that you have another way to earn a living.Before you call other people ignorant, take a good long look at yourself!

It's a scam - just look at the ridiculous salaries and benefits. The next step if you reply to this will be to ask you to contact an agency to process your work documentation and you will be asked to pay money by Western Union.

UK employers cannot employ non EU nationals unless they are licenced by the Home Office to do so and there is a recruitment process that they have to follow as they cannot offer a job to a non EU national unless they have advertised the post.in trade and national press and across the job centre network for four weeks. Only if no suitably qualified applicant from the EU applies can they offer the job to a non EU applicant. You would have to be interviewed, there is no way any UK company is going to offer a job to someone they have not interviewed.

Unless you have a degree level qualification and extensive experience you stand no chance of getting a visa or competing in the job market in the UK. Highly experienced chefs are the only hotel personnel that have a chance of getting a sponsored visa. All other hotel posts can be filled by workers in the UK and EU.

The ONLY way UK visas are ever issued is in the country of the applicant from a visa application centre, usually a High Commission or Embassy. The UK employer would issue you with a Certificate of Sponsorship which you take to the visa application centre with your documents and a fee of £270 which you pay direct to them. There you will be photographed and finger printed as part of the process. Visas are never processed in the UK and never by third parties, either lawyers or agencies. Your visa and passport would be returned direct to you in your own country. Your only cost would be the visa cost. All other costs are handled by you employer.

Nobody can guarantee you a visa and nobody can apply on your behalf.

There are some golden rules you should observe when dealing with people on the Internet and the first and most important is that you never, never pay for anything by Western Union or Moneygram. No legitimate business uses this method of transferring money and you may as well burn your money as it is untraceable and irretrievable.

Anyone using a 070 telephone number is a scammer. These numbers are redirectable to anywhere in the world but are used to give the impression that you are dealing with someone in the UK, you are not.

Always be wary of any unsolicited approaches from strangers that offer you jobs, inheritances, a share of the money being transferred out of the country, lottery winnings or prizes. They are 100% always a scam.
