I think the problem here is who you want to carry. Personally I be inclined to tell your employers where to stick their ideas of you using your personal car for their transport needs.

I'm guessing you would need to go to as broker who specialises in Taxi insurance but they may quibble at carrying kids without supervision.

Business insurance is one step up from Social Domestic and Pleasure and shouldn't cost you much more than normal Fully Comp but that may not cover you for carrying commercial passengers ( which the kids would be classed as)

Public Liability Insurance covers you against any claim any member of the public may make against you whilst carrying out your business.

Corporate insurance is where a big company or organisation brokers a big deal to cover their insurance needs. Your employers seem to be trying to do it on the cheap (for them)

If your current insurance is with a broker (can write with a number of companies) then call him/her and tell them you want to see at least 3 quotes on your renewal.. that you are getting quotes from other companies. That usually makes them work a little harder... They smell blood in the water. when they ask you who you are getting quotes from..... your job is not to make their's easier.

in the meantime .... get in touch with a couple of other companies... StateFarm (depending on what state you are in) likes rental companies, as long as they don't involve you renting trucks, cars... etc.... Another place to check is with Nationwide...

an independent broker is probably going to be your best bet, but it never hurts to keep them honest by shopping them once in a while.
