New Business Insurance

Marlene Said:

How does a new business bill a health insurance company?

We Answered:

If they are business liscensed to do this business they request forms from that insurance company, and fill them out, or they can simply say, call your insurance carrier and find out how to submit a claim, they do not have to do this in most states. If they are not liscenced with the state, there will be no getting the insurance company to pay for it. Make sure they understand the laws, call the business liscensing agency, and let patients know, they are not covered by their insurance, so that they get paid by the client. Its definatly worth the time to find this out, if their ins wont pay and the person is poor like most are, they will not be able to pay back arrerrs rent, so take cash up front to not lose money.

I have a new life insurance business which way is the best way to get leads?

We Answered:

There are many many places to buy leads... but I found that if you're new to this & might need a little more support (training)

naadavies.com is a great website to visit...

It's how I started out in the life insurance business... They provide leads (in the clients own handwriting!!!) that they filled out when they were buying their house (at closing) requesting mortgage protection insurance (term policy to cover mortgage).
There is nothing like going to someone's door and showing them that they filled out the form - they always let you in!
It was a great place to start and they provide sales training if you want it (and don't have to if you don't want to) but it was SO helpful to me!!!
I'm no longer with them - only because I've worked up my customer base and no longer need the training or leads... so NO I'm not making any commission for sending you to them.

How to get insurance on a new repossession business?

We Answered:

You need to find a local, independent agent, who can put this out to the excess/surplus marketplace.

Going directly to the familiar names you know, isn't going to get the job done. You'll need specialty coverage, at least those first few years. You can find a local agent at www.iiaba.net by putting your zip code into the agent locator field.

Do you own a business in the New Orleans area? Is your business insurance covering wind and hail damage?

We Answered:

I have a friend who owns a business and had similar insurance issues and found the only way to be completely covered was the insurance offered through the state itself. At first was not very happy at his limited options but when all was said and done they ended up saving money and were apparently had the same level of coverage as they did before.
