Progressive is trying to hint that they are gay friendly without losing their homophobic straight customers. The gays will assume it is two gay guys and straight guys might assume that they are friends, co workers, brothers, etc. It is a very VERY good attempt to be politically correct. they are satisfying both sexualities.

Distracted Driving is a big one now. Things like texting while driving, talking on the phone while driving, horsing around with friends while driving. Distracted Driving and Speeding are major factors in causing accidents.

Many car insurance companies put out a public service message in their commercials. Promoting the Good Neighbor, Helping you is what we do best, On your side (and similar slogans) promote the company but also put a message to help reduce accidents.

Maybe a commercial telling parents to talk with their kids about distracted driving (no texting while driving) BEFORE an accident happens. This can reduce the chances of damage to your car but more importantly save your teens life. Quite literally, texting while driving is a matter of life and death.

Wearing seat belts also saves lives. In a roll over accident, if you don't have a seat belt - you can be ejected. Getting ejected in a roll over can kill you. People are ejected at a high rate of speed. They can hit trees/objects. The rolling car can roll over the ejected person. Going through a front windshield is not pretty either. If you don't get ejected, it's common to end up with a "hang mans fracture". This happens when the unbelted occupant hits their head on the roof of the car causing them to break their neck (at the C2 vertebrae). This causes them to be paralyzed from the neck down.

I know that wearing a seat belt is an old message but it's an important one. Seat belts save lives. Maybe something encouraging parents to wear their seat belts and to teach their kids to wear them too.
