Insurance For Commercial Vehicle

Jennifer Said:

Commercial Insurance Rules?

We Answered:

They can't pay you more than what you had it insured for in any case. And if it is a total loss and you don't buy it back for salvage value, it belongs to insurance, not to you. You can get the $19,000 if you prefer, but you wouldn't get the truck back under that situation. If you want it back you will have to pay salvage value of $4,500.

You can pay an attorney if you like and pay for the information I just gave you free.

And recheck your math. You get $14,500.

Kathy Said:

Commercial rider for individual insurance?

We Answered:

Sure--tell the agent about the business use, and they'll change the rating class to Business Use. There's no reason to take out another policy, and the two policys wouldn't "stack" their limits in case of an accident. Of course, your premium will go up.

Dennis Said:

Are those car insurance commercials lies?

We Answered:

Well if you believed all those commercials you could keep switching and pretty soon be down to free insurance. Right? As my Grandma used to say, "Don't believe anything you hear and only half of what you see and you'll be close to learning the truth". There are a lot of factors to consider in insurance rates including your credit rating and where you reside. I shop around every now and then and have never gotten a low quote from any of the big advertisers.

Ever heard of the company Noble Logistics ? question about insurance?

We Answered:

Depends on what you're doing with the car.

If you're "delivering", aka distribution, then you need commercial insurance. That's probably why they're hiring subs with their own cars, to get out of paying the extremely high rates for commercial car insurance, for delivery vehicles.

You can't add coverage for this to a personal auto policy,
