Jordan Said:

what is a good health insurance for small business owners?

We Answered:

Blue Cross is one of the best carriers for the state of California. They offer the one of the best provider networks (nationwide access to providers) in the state.

You might want to look into their EmployeeElect portfolio of small business plans. They offer the ability for the employer to purchase on policy and set a defined contribution amount - normally $125 per employee - then the employee gets to elect between 13 different plans - if he/she chooses a plan that costs more than the $125 per month, the remaining premium is payroll deducted from his/her pay check.

Hope this helps

How much does business insurance for a small business normally run? I want to open up a play room.?

We Answered:

Depends on the coverages you want. Daycare liability for a new business will probably run you around $1,000 and not cover abuse or molestation defense. Abuse and molestation defense runs around $2500. Accident coverage, in case the kids get hurt, runs around $500. And workers comp will run around $500 or 15% of payroll, whichever is HIGHER.

How much does it cost a small business insurance?

We Answered:

They're harvesting information from you to sell as leads.

Small business insurance can run anywhere from $300 a year, to $3,000,000 a year, or even more. See, there's about 25 different TYPES of small business insurance, and each of those has several hundred CLASSES, and each of THOSE has seperate rates, which would be multiplied by the RATING FACTOR, which is determined by the type of business.

So, You're asking, how long is a string. Well, it depends on a WIDE variety of factors. You'll need to be WAY more specific.

I need business Insurance for a small business selling desserts.?

We Answered:

We have a catering company in San Diego. We called a couple of companies that sell business insurance and found one pretty easily. You need to ensure that you have liability insurance, to protect yourself. We have a $2 million policy, but you may or may not need that much, depending on your area, your volume etc. Also are you an LLC?

Another possibility is to try any good insurance agent, or friend and ask for a referral. Your accountant may know of one, as well. Call a restaurant or deli owner or manager in your area for a referral, but do it during off peak times.

Don't get hung up on the type of business. Call a couple of business insurance agencies and tell them what you are looking for. Good luck!
