If the company filed bankruptcy and they owed you money, you can't claim it against their liability insurance policy. You will need to get in line with all the other creditors and make your claim through the bankruptcy process. There should be a public notice for the filing that will tell you where and how to file a claim, and by what date as well.

As to who their insurance is through....this is usually not disclosed and is hard to find out.
