yes unfortunately this often the case..they will turn private car to commercial but are reluctant to change back!!The best thing to do is call a local broker, they deal with companies that will do this!!I myself work in the insurance industry and i do no that if the agent tries hard enough they can pretty much do anything for you!!Brokers deal with companies that the general market do not, im sure you will get sorted this way

Check your insurance documents. Mine lets me drive any vehicle, with the owners consent, but the insurance is limited to 3rd party. So if thats the case, your OK
