Commercial Liability Insurance

Rose Said:

As a claims assistant for a commercial liabilty insurance company, what training will help me to advance?

We Answered:

http://www.aicpcu.org/

Go to this web site.

They offer lots of different programs in insurance.

You may want to start out with an easy one like INS. It's 3 courses and its not hard at all. It is good introductory information.

In claims, you usually start with INS and then move onto AIC (Associate in Claims).

If you are wanting to eventually be an adjuster - these are the two to start out with.

Roy Said:

what does it cost for commercial liability insurance?

We Answered:

Commercial general liability insurance rates vary by the type of premises & operations that are being covered. If you are primarily an "office" , with no manufacturing operations, no customer traffic (such as a retail store would have) general liability coverage could be rather inexpensive $200 - $500 per year. If you need coverage for "professional" type exposures (errors, omissions) from your programming, data servicing and other related IT work, the costs can be substantial. Call a local independant insurance agent and get a free, no-obligation quote.

Knowledgeable horse people: Instructors Insurance--do i need commercial equine liability?

We Answered:

Most facilities do require that you have your own insurance. There are lots of folks out there nowadays that are equine insurance brokers. It runs about $300.00 for 6 mos coverage.

Rodney Said:

what determines the deductible in commercial liability insurance?

We Answered:

No, it's not based on revenue - the deductible is predetermined as part of the rate negotiations. Deductibles aren't actually common, on a CGL form, unless you're looking at a contractor's policy, or other surplus lines type coverage.
