Now I think my friend had Geico or Safe auto, I can't remember which one it was ... but ...
I can only speak on what happen to a friend of mine ... he was in a car accident and he had Geico or Safe auto at the time, will you believe they paid to take care of his car and since the other people didn't have insurance and my friend wasn't at fault, they didn't cover the other peoples car, but his next month bill was 3 times more than what his normal monthly bill was, and he asked "what the heck, tell me why, you can't do that", they *Geico or Safe auto* said "because his car was X amount of dollars for the repairs and he only had to pay 250.00, they're going to get their money back from him one way or another" OMG I was on the phone and almost passed out when I heard them say that to him ... so needless to say, he dropped their butts real quick and went to Progressive.
I honestly can't remember if it was safe auto or geico, it was one of the two

You're asking for the total RESERVES.

No one collects this number.

You can collect it yourself, for publicly traded companies, by going to www.sec.gov and downloading the audited financials for every insurance company, pouring through them for the reserve amount, and adding them all together.

Good luck! Many homeowner's companies have extremely limited coverage availability in Florida right now. And a lot of perils like wind are excluded. You have to buy it from the state run high risk pool. So to have a total homeowners policy you are going to have to use two companies anyway.
You might try St. Paul Travelers. They sell both there.
