Carole Said:

where and how to search for individuals/corporations wanting to invest in start-up businesses?

We Answered:

The small business Administration has funding available to help with startup costs. Most community colleges have a SBA division on campus. The staff will help you with the funding resources and help with all the paper work you need to do, from business plan to grant or loan application.

How do I get my boss to pony up for my health insurance?

We Answered:

Your employer is under no legal obligation to provide health insurance, or assist with your payments for personal health insurance.

It might have been judicious to make such a request during your salary review. If you didn't, you likely put your boss on the spot, and he was forced to put company first and answer "no". Remember in a down economy businesses suffer, as well as individuals, and busineses must also remember the bottom line to stay afloat.

If this still remains a contentious issue you may want to canvas all your employment options...without quitting your current job, of course.

Needing a foot in the door for commercial real estate. Please Help?

We Answered:

You don't say what your location is but I bet that if you go on your area MLS and look for an agent who does Commercial they can lead you where you need to go. Also call up your Board of Realtors who may hold classes on Commercial real estate or contact an Independent Real Estate School in your area, because chances are, the agent who is teaching will be a well rounded agent who could also put you in touch with someone.
