I can no longer listen to She Works Hard For The Money - Donna Summer without thinking of McDonald's. I think they used that song back in the 80s and McDonald's has gone through multiple ad campaigns since, but I still can't shake it. Chalk one up to the marketers.

Anyways, Flea had this to say about things:
"The Chili Peppers get offers all the time to sell songs for commercials and tour sponsorships, and our manager says it's not considered selling out anymore. It's the smart move, he says. Maybe we could whore ourselves out for the right price someday. I don't know. But I always think, "Would Neil Young do this?" And the answer is no. Neil Young wouldn't f*ckin' do it."

That's how I feel. It's become acceptable but I'm still not happy about it.
