Leroy Said:

is this a scam????it says this needs to be 20 characters?

We Answered:

It is a scam. one of the easiest way to check is to look up the name of the organization. If they where legit they would have a site. Also they would not appear on plenty of scam sites as scam emails.

You may visit sites across the web but how many do you sign up to and leave your email address with.

If you did not enter it then there is no way you could win it.

One final check is to open the headers on the email which show the return email along with the ip address which is another way to check where the email originated from. They rarely match the country the supposed draw is taken place.

Also if you enter the phone numbers given they will show where they come form. The check them against the real number.. From the OFFICIAL site.

The numbers given are in china. But Toyota is a Japanese company.

All signs are pointing to scam..

Plus loads of scam email sites are reporting it as a scam

What you should do is leave it..

What i do when I get these types of emails is send an email back with all the links to the scam email sites with copies of their email.

If they where genuine they would get back but they never do...

Check this out from 2007

http://antifraudintl.org/showthread.php?…

seems familiar? same name and same lay out.

The next step would be they need a fee to sort it out. Well why can they not take that sum out of the prize an send you the sum.

Delete it and forget it

Can not find an OFFICIAL site for this but plenty of reports on its a scam.. Go figure

Why do I get unwanted emails in my Yahoo account that are for future days and future years, are they viruses?

We Answered:

Don't open them ever. Go through your inbox and mark them all as spam. Do that everyday and soon you'll stop seeing them.

Who wastes time like this?

We Answered:

Have you fallen out with anyone close recently? Got any disgruntled exes? Or, if you've recently moved in, could the previous occupier be this Julian Sweet? Maybe he has fallen out or split up with someone and they're trying to get their revenge, not knowing that he's moved on.

It's probably just to cause you hassle, but I would do a credit check to ensure there wasn't anything fishy going on, and I'd also tell my bank and credit card companies. I'd also switch off my answering machine when I was out so they couldn't leave messages.

I don't know if you can do the same thing where you are, but I'd be inclined to write 'Not known at this address - return to sender' on all (unopened) envelopes that come addressed to Mr Sweet, and pop them back in the mail.

Hopefully eventually they'll get fed up and stop. If not, and you can't work out who may be doing it, you should perhaps have a word with the police.

Discuss It!
