Business Insurance Information

Margie Said:

Does a business have to release their insurance information when an employee damages your property?

We Answered:

No, they don't. It's private information.

You can either file under your own insurance, and let your insurance take them to court, or you can sue the employee in court.

where do i find information on starting a valet parking business and insurance needed?

We Answered:

Since you've never been in business before, I would strongly recommend that you talk to a business counselor before you do anything especially spend money. You have to determine whether you'll start a web based business or one with a store front. I'd call the local office of SCORE (go to http://www.score.org and input your zip code to find the chapter nearest you), the advice is FREE.

The counselor at SCORE will most likely advise you to write a business plan which is very good advice because it will force you to dig out all of the start up details and the costs of starting a valet parking business and force you to also understand all of the aspects of this business including the customers you'll concentrate on (your market ) and how you'll go after them.

You'll need to register the business with your state controller's office and make sure that you have any city and county licenses if any are needed where you live. All of this will come out in a business plan.

Ask your broker.

Darlene Said:

what information goes into determining the insurance cost of a small business? like a paintball field?

We Answered:

There are different kinds of insurance that might apply.

For liability, it's hard, because most insurance companies won't write insurance on a new business, and most won't write something like paintball. There's going to be a "minimum premium" - how much you'll pay, even if you decide to cancel the insurance the next day. For paintball, it's either going to be rated on gross sales, or the amount of acreage, or the number of players - but most likely gross sales. I'd expect the "minimum premium" to be darned close to $2,000.

If there's no insurance, whoever runs the paintball operation, gets sued whenever someone is injured - which is moderately often. Whoever owns the field ALSO gets sued, and they likely won't let you use it for paintball games.

Philippine Car Insurance information for asker named alrob.?

No doubt the easiest way to get insurance quotes is on the web.
Why would you waste your time on the phone calling around?
the last time i needed quotes on insurance i used one of these comparison sites and it was great.
this is the site i used and it was quick like less than 5 mins.
The last thing I want to do is listen to elevator music while waiting for a salesman.
Anyway I got good quotes and ended up saving money so I was happy.
So shop around and compare quotes which is easy on the net.
Good starting point is at this site.
