Insurance companies have about 30% overhead vs 4% for medicare.....that means medicare has more of its funding actually getting to where it needs to go, while the private insurance siphons more money to investors and CEOs for private jets. The difference is greater than 1/4 of their total income from insurance fees.

However, tackling the insurance companies without following up with the crooks at the drug companies will ultimately be insufficient. No other nation on earth pays more for the same drugs we buy and every other country pays less....we cant have that if we want affordable healthcare.

There are a lot of other places that sell salvage but you need to be prepared to either collect cars or pay to get them collected, bear in mind a car with suspension ripped off won't tow well on a rope and won't have tax or mot etc.
You need to think seriously about going into this sort of business, it's not all profit for bolting on a new door, never works like that.
If you don't have the right equipment or knowledge you might want to think about doing something else.

Google Assurant Health and Golden Rule Insurance. Log onto their websites to get their phone numbers. Then call the companies and ask where you could find a local agent of the company. Or you may do a search on the website for a local agent.

Unfortunately, insurance companies play a big part in the decision about who gets hired for what job. If you're over 21 years old, and have a clean driving record you could go back to school for a few weeks and upgrade to a Class-A CDL.

Once you have the CDL-A in your pocket, there are several regional and national trucking companies who would be happy to hire you with little or no driving experience. They will put you out on the road for a month or so with an experienced driver/trainer, and then you will be fully qualified to go out on your own as a company driver.

You will need a few types of insurance.

General Liability, Commercial Auto and workman's compensation if you plan on having any employees.

General Liability - This protects third parties if you are negligent and cause harm to a person or property. (Does not cover accidents that happen while behind the wheel)
Commercial Auto - This is just like personal auto insurance but for vehicles used commercially.
Workers Compensation - This covers your employees in case of an accident either in or out of the vehicle.

I bet the general liabilty and workers compensation will put you back about $1,200 per year. The autos, figure anywhere between $1,500 and $2,500 each.

There is no way to get a price without talking to an insurance broker.
