THAT, my friend, is the million dollar question. It's been a problem for americans everywhere. Insurance is EXPENSIVE, no matter where you live, or who you are. My husband is a dairy farmer, thus self-employed, and we pay $8,000 a year out of our own pockets for a family plan through Independent health. Do you qualify for state funded health plans? Check with your local social services office and see first, if anything is available, and second, if you qualify. If you go privately through a health ins. co., you will pay. We belong to our local chamber of commerce, which reduces the price some, but as you can see, it's still quite expensive. Good luck to you!!
